Canon's newly designed imageRUNNER 1600 can handle
the printing and copying demands of workgroups,
departments and small office environments.
Operating at 16 pages-per-minute, imageRUNNER 1600
comes equipped with many productivity enhancing
features, such as Scan Once Print Many, Copy Reservation,
Two-Page Separation, Image Combination and superior
quality output equivalent to 1200 dpi x 600 dpi for copying and an
impressive 2400 dpi x 600 dpi for printing. This amazing device comes
standard with a 250-sheet front loading cassette and a 100-sheet bypass.
Other options and features include the flexibility to support a maximum
paper capacity of 1,100 sheets, a 50-sheet Automatic Document Feeder,
32MB or 64MB printer memory upgrades, an Ethernet Network option, and an
optional 10G Hard Drive for enhanced printer functionality. In addition,
two convenient finishing options are offered - an inner 2-way tray
ensuring output of prints and copies are not mixed, and an internal
finisher that offers offset stapling and sorting.

Features
The imageRUNNER 1600 features a 16 page-per-minute copy and print speed
and a duty cycle of up to 50,000 impressions per month. The standard
16MB Image Server supports a host of important features, including
Scan-Once-Print-Many, Copy Reservation, and more. To further enhance
copying productivity, an additional 32MB of memory capacity may be added
for a total of 48MB of memory. The imageRUNNER 1600 offers a 350-sheet
paper capacity as standard through a 250-sheet universal paper cassette
and a 100-sheet Stack Bypass. Through optional paper supply accessories,
the maximum paper capacity can be increased to 1,100 sheets, for
virtually uninterrupted productivity of long-run length jobs.
The imageRUNNER 1600 features a compact design, which means that this
unit can fit comfortably in environments with little room for additional
hardware. When installed as a multifunction copier/printer solution,
users will realize significant space savings as compared to using
several standalone devices.
An easy-to-use control panel at the device provides users with quick
programming for each feature and function. With dual accessibility, the
imageRUNNER 1600 is designed to minimize job batting (contention)
allowing users to access multiple product functions simultaneously.
When configured with optional accessories, the imageRUNNER 1600 can be
transformed into a dedicated or shared network printer. When connected
to a network, this model is also capable of being managed by users and
administrators remotely via Canon's innovative Remote UI function and
NetSpot Suite Utilities.
The imageRUNNER 1600 offers finishing capabilities and modes typically
not available to Segment 1 prospects. Multiple output options are
available, from simply separating copy/print output to full sorting,
stapling and collating.
